Service Description

Katie is a licensed cosmetologist with both a manager's license and homebound license. Prior to owning Destination she worked as a hair stylist for 24 years, 13 of those years were spent being self-employed doing hair in senior living facilities & nursing homes. The home bound service is designed for individuals who are unable to attend hair appointments in a normal salon setting. This could be elderly folks who are no longer mobile, especially in the winter months, someone who is required to be on bedrest due to pregnancy, someone who is recovering from surgery or other medical conditions, or a person/child who is sensitive to social settings due to medical/behavioral conditions. Requirements for home visits include a clean, safe workspace large enough for the client to be sitting upright, and for the stylist to access a 360 degree range of the person's head. The hair must be freshly shampoo'd within 24hours- free from odors, excessive oil, dandruff, ect, The head must be free of open wounds. The appointment must be pre-paid. The base price is for local Cannon Falls locations only. There is a travel fee if you are more than 5 miles from Cannon Falls. There must be a photo sent & brief description of the service being requested- - ex.- Trim, clipper cut, ladies cut with blow dry, ect. When booking online, at least 3 days notice is required & your appointment will be pending approval once the stylist reviews the request. We will confirm with you.
